
Better Archangel Pictures is pleased to announce its latest film production, The Garden and the Wilderness, from filmmaker Craig Whitney. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Texas in Fall 2010.
A modern day Western, The Garden and the Wilderness tells the story of an aging ranch hand who has spent decades caring for a private hunting ranch. When he learns that the decaying estate will be sold to developers following the owner’s death, the rancher must learn to face the prospect of leaving behind a patch of Earth that he has has toiled over for nearly his entire life.
Writer and director Craig Whitney—whose film Harvest Home screened at the Cannes Film Festival’s 2009 Short Film Corner—will direct the film from his own screenplay. Stephanie Huettner (The Peacemaker) will produce.
