The Garden and the Wilderness will join the other amazing films selected for the Houston Film Commission's 2013 Texas Filmmaker's Showcase at a special screening next month in Austin, Texas. Proceeds from the screening will go to benefit the Austin Film Society's AFS Grant for local filmmakers.
The screening will take place on September 17th at 8:00 PM at the Marchesa Hall and Theatre in Austin. Tickets for the screening will be available at the Marchesa Theatre or through the Austin Film Society website.
The AFS Grant (formerly known as the Texas Filmmaker's Production Fund) is an annual grant designed to support the work of new and emerging Texas filmmakers. The grant has awarded nearly $1.4 million in cash, goods, and services to more than 370 projects during its 18 year history.
