
The Garden and the Wilderness has been awarded the prize for Best Soundtrack at the Golden Egg Film Festival. The awards ceremony took place tonight at the Working Stage Theater in Los Angeles.
The score for The Garden and the Wilderness featured works by Bach, Beethoven, Verdi, Owen Wister, and traditional songs arranged for guitar by Aaron Brian. The soundtrack was performed by Brian and pianist Sara Houser (Löwin).
In addition to the Best Soundtrack category, The Garden and the Wilderness was also nominated at GEFF for Best Short Film, Best Director of a Short Film, and Best Original Screenplay. Thanks to its win for Best Soundtrack, the film will now appear in May at the Golden Egg Film Festival's Cancun screening along with other prize-winning films from the festival's New York and Hollywood competitions.
