The Garden and the Wilderness and five other award-winning short films from the Houston Film Commission's Texas Filmmaker's Showcase will screen this Wednesday at 6:30pm at the Fritztown Cinema in Fredericksburg, Texas. The event will be hosted by the Hill Country Film Festival, which featured The Garden and the Wilderness as an official selection at its 2012 festival.
The Texas Filmmaker's Showcase program also features Kat Candler's Hellion, which was recently made into a feature film starring Aaron Paul that will make its premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Other films featured at the screening include 2013 Student Academy Award-nominee Vultures of Tibet, Little Lions, Cork's Cattlebaron, and Vincent Valdez: Excerpts for John.
The Garden and the Wilderness writer and director Craig Whitney and other filmmakers from the Texas Filmmaker's Showcase will be in attendance for a Q&A session following the screening. Guests will also be entered to win all-access badges to the 2014 Hill Country Film Festival, which takes place in Fredericksburg from May 1-4.
